The speakers included with this system with thin-walled plastic and weight do not really have a really solid speakers. I could be more heavy wooden speaker, if you know what a better speaker, how much pain it is to be used again after setting up the system. Even with the lightweight, the audio quality was still very beautiful, right on the level that you expect from a starter home theater system.

Speaker performance was good, with clear highs and a good balance of mid-range and bass. The included subwoofer may not be as powerful as have external powered subwoofer, but a properly balanced system is not high enough bass to shake the pictures off the wall either. Music and movies sounded equally very good, with good channel separation and mixing with the rear speakers. During music playback, the rear speakers would activate the automatic mode, and help fill your room with more sound. In films the rear speakers has its own specific audio track would remain devoted. One of my favorite tests for new surround systems is the Call of Duty game, as directional sound heard is the key to not be killed by an attacking enemy. The Sony BDV-E300 was quickly pick up on subtle signs that I picked slightly before they could help other players get to me.

Blu-ray movie playback was perfect, loaded with fast film, after the disc has been inserted, and biting reply menu. Noise from the stereo even in the worst case was minimal, with no noticeable noise from the drive, after a disc is loaded. After playing a Blu-ray video fall back to the Home screen had a 2-3 second delay. Compared with my PS3, the performance of this system was actually in better shape, as long as you before you could start a film had to wait.

Overall, the Sony BDV-E300 is a pretty good home theater system support in a box with the addition of Blu-ray. If you are looking to add surround sound works are to play a small to medium sized rooms and want the ability to HD movies will work the system well, and its sale price, with most households. The setup utilities are making the initial calibration, painless, and the color-coded cables make sure even non-techie, this system can play music or movies in no time. The only disadvantage of this model is the lackluster support for iPods, the property is compared to other alternatives, and the omission of HDMI inputs.
