Game muscles responsible long battery life in ASUS U30Jc-1A, 13-inch laptop that can automatically switch between a discrete mode grpahics (perfect for gaming and high definition video) and integrated mode grpahics, when you need more juice. How much juice? This $ 899 system, a technology-based Core i3 processor lasts for about 7 hours free. Several heavy chassis may not be for everyone, but in general U30Jc good value for those who want graphics charm without compromising strength.

Design
Both the lid and deck U30Jc covered in brushed aluminum that resists fingerprints, and, in accordance with the right lighting, seems to have a lavender hue. The area surrounding the keyboard, metal, plastic silver and island-style keys are matte black plastic. The rim glossy black plastic, which takes fingerprints, but not too much.

For 13-inch system, U30Jc feels pretty cumbersome, weighing 4.8 kg. Measuring 13.1 x 9.5 x 1.2 inches, is slightly larger and heavier than UL30A (12,7 x 9,2 x 1 inches, 4 pounds), probably because of the inclusion of the optical drive, and as a discrete graphics subsystem. Sony VAIO Y, for comparison, almost the same size (12,8 x 8,9 x 1,3) inches, and weighs a full pound less.

Heat
Even in a discrete graphics chip works, U30Jc kept pretty cool. After Hulu play video in full screen for 15 minutes in the middle of the bottom and the touchpad only reached 89 degrees Fahrenheit, while the space between G and H keys was a mild 93. Areas output reaches 100 degrees, the heat, but we’ve seen a lot of hot temperatures on the cars of this size.

Keyboard and touchpad
Keyboard island style U30Jc offered a decent experience in print. The keys were nice range, but we felt that their move was too small. Neverless, they were to respond in recruitment, and not to make too much noise.

Touch panel, covered with purple-same brushed aluminum, both wrists, slightly recessed, and is bordered with a chrome finish, a nice touch, and was free from friction. One-click below and chrome finish. Although we prefer discrete buttons, a bar on U30Jc worked well.
